What is Qatar National Sport Day?
Qatar National Sport Day is a public holiday on the second Tuesday of February, created by Emiri Decision No. 80 of 2011 and first held in February 2012. Its purpose is to make sport and physical activity part of everyday life for citizens and residents.
The decision asks ministries, government bodies and private companies to organise sports activities for their employees on the day. That is why companies order matching T-shirts, caps and bottles for staff, and trophies and medals for tournaments. More than 250 events are planned for 2027 across the country, organised by government bodies, companies and sports organisations.
Sport Day 2027 falls in Ramadan
Sport Day 2027 is on Tuesday 9 February, expected to be the second day of Ramadan. The National Sport Day Committee announced the theme "Ramadan is an opportunity", with lighter activities such as walking, jogging and cycling between 3 and 5 pm before iftar, and more demanding sports such as football, volleyball and swimming between 9 and 11.30 pm after taraweeh. Event locations are due to be published at the end of January 2027.

Choosing fabric and branding for sports kits
For activity wear choose polyester or a polyester blend with a moisture-wicking finish. Cotton T-shirts are comfortable for walking events but hold sweat in more demanding sports. DTF and sublimation suit polyester; screen printing is best above 100 pieces of one design; embroidery suits polos and caps, not thin sports T-shirts.
Send sizes per person or per team as early as you can. Size breakdowns are the most common reason a sports kit order is delayed.
