Product Compliance
Last updated: 19 April 2026
We verify every product in our catalogue against the applicable safety, chemical, and labelling standards for your market. Here's what that means in practice.
Certifications we work with
- REACH β EU regulation on chemicals, specifically the SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) list. Applies to all products shipping into the EU/EEA.
- CPSIA β US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. Mandatory for any product potentially used by children under 12 shipping to the USA.
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100 β Independent testing for harmful substances in textiles. All our standard cotton apparel meets this standard.
- FDA compliance β For drinkware, lunchware, and food-contact items shipping to the USA.
- LFGB β German food-contact materials standard, equivalent recognition across EU.
- CE marking β For electronic products (USB drives, power banks, Bluetooth speakers) sold in the EEA.
- RoHS β Restriction of Hazardous Substances in electronics.
- BSCI / SMETA β Social compliance audits from our vendor factories (see Social Compliance page).
By product category
Apparel & textiles
Our cotton t-shirts, polos, hoodies, and caps come from mills certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 class I (products for babies) or class II (products with direct skin contact). Fabric is tested for azo-dyes, formaldehyde, heavy metals, and pesticide residues before being used for our lines.
Prints and dyes use AZO-free, phthalate-free, and PVC-free inks for EU-bound orders.
Drinkware & lunchware
Stainless steel bottles are made from food-grade 304 (18/8) or 316L steel. Every batch is tested for lead, cadmium, and chromium migration under FDA 21 CFR and LFGB Β§ 30/31. Ceramic mugs are tested for lead and cadmium under ASTM C738 (USA) and EN 1388 (EU).
Plastic components (lids, sleeves) are BPA-free. Bamboo and cork items carry natural-material certifications from the supplier.
Technology & electronics
USB drives, power banks, Bluetooth speakers, and cables sold to EU markets carry CE and RoHS marking. US-bound electronics comply with FCC Part 15. Lithium-ion batteries come with UN 38.3 test certification for safe air/sea transport.
Office & writing
Pens use non-toxic, xylene-free inks. Notebooks and diaries use FSC-certified paper (chain of custody) on request. Metal writing instruments are nickel-release tested per EN 1811 for direct skin contact.
Bags & travel
Canvas and polyester bags are tested for azo-dyes, phthalates, and formaldehyde. Leather items (where applicable) use chrome-free tanning and are PCP (pentachlorophenol) tested.
Documentation we provide
For any order, we can supply the following on request:
- Test reports from accredited third-party labs (SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, TΓV)
- Material composition declarations
- Batch-specific Certificates of Conformity (CoC)
- REACH / SVHC non-detection statements
- BSCI / SMETA audit reports for the source factory
Documentation is free for orders above 500 units. Below that, we may charge a small handling fee to cover document-retrieval costs from our suppliers.
How we audit new products
Before a new product joins our catalogue, we:
- Receive a pre-production sample + mill/factory test reports
- Commission independent lab tests on 2-3 random samples for the target market's standards
- Verify factory ownership of the BSCI or SMETA audit report (not a leased one)
- Only then list the product at its tested quality level
Got a specific compliance requirement?
Tell us at the quote stage β government tenders, schools, healthcare buyers, and some EU retailers have specific certification requirements. We build the compliance package into the quote so there are no surprises at delivery.
