End-of-service gifts and the gratuity are different things
Under Qatar's Labour Law (Law No. 14 of 2004), employees with more than a year of service are entitled to an end-of-service gratuity of at least three weeks' basic wage for each year worked. That is a legal payment handled by HR and payroll. A farewell gift is a separate, voluntary gesture of thanks and never replaces any part of it. Confirm entitlement questions with your HR or legal team.
Getting the personalisation right
