Is UV printing better than screen printing?
For detailed or full-colour artwork, yes — UV has no per-colour surcharge, so a photographic logo costs the same to print as a single-colour one. For large runs of simple 1–2 colour logos, screen printing is still cheaper per piece. The break-even depends on quantity and colour count; we cost both when the job sits near the line.
What is the minimum quantity for UV printing?
From 25 pieces. There is no screen or plate to make, so short runs and samples are economical — this is the method we use for most mock-up and approval batches.
Can you UV print onto dark or metal items?
Yes. A white ink underbase is laid down first so colours stay accurate on dark substrates. On bare metal an adhesion primer is used; tell us the exact item and we will confirm before quoting.
