How dtf transfer works, step by step

Print to film
The design is printed onto PET film in full colour, with a white backing layer.

Powder and cure
Hot-melt adhesive powder is applied to the wet ink and cured.

Heat press
The film is pressed onto the garment, bonding the design to the fabric.

Peel and finish
The carrier film is peeled away and the garment is given a second press to set the finish.

What is the minimum order for DTF printing?
From 10 pieces, and every piece can carry a different design at no extra setup. This is the method to use for sample runs, small team kits and personalised one-offs where screen printing would be uneconomic.
Is DTF better than screen printing?
For short runs and full-colour artwork, yes — there are no screens to set up. For large runs of simple logos, screen printing still wins on cost per piece and on hand-feel, since a big DTF transfer sits on top of the fabric as a solid layer.
How well does DTF survive washing?
Correctly pressed DTF withstands normal commercial laundering. It is more durable than most vinyl and less durable than a cured screen print or embroidery, which is the trade for full colour at low quantity.
