How doming works, step by step

Label print
The design is printed in full colour onto vinyl or polycarbonate and die-cut to shape.

Resin application
Two-part polyurethane resin is dispensed onto each label in a measured dose.

Self-levelling
The resin flows to the edge of the label and settles into an even dome under its own surface tension.

Cure
Pieces cure flat for several hours, then are applied to the product or supplied loose.

What is doming used for?
Adding a raised, glass-like finish to small printed logos — keyrings, badges, USB drives and equipment labels. It is chosen where a flat sticker would look flimsy or would not survive handling.
Is a domed logo waterproof?
Yes. The cured resin fully seals the printed layer, so domed badges tolerate water, cleaning and UV far better than an uncoated printed label.
How long does resin doming take to cure?
Pieces must cure flat and undisturbed, which is why doming carries a longer lead time than a straight print. Build 7–12 working days into your schedule and tell us your in-hands date up front.
