Corporate Gifting in Dubai: A Local Buyer's Guide

Gifts Gulf Team 24 August 2026Β· 5 min read

Dubai is the largest corporate-gifting market in the GCC by volume, and most of the sourcing advice that applies generally still applies here β€” but a few things are worth knowing specifically about buying for a Dubai-based business rather than sourcing for the region in general.

Where demand concentrates

Corporate buying activity clusters around a handful of business districts β€” Business Bay, DIFC, Al Quoz (also a hub for suppliers and light-industrial fulfilment), JLT, and Dubai Marina among them β€” which is largely why same-day or next-day mock-ups and short local delivery windows are realistic expectations for a Dubai order in a way they might not be for a more dispersed market.

The Dubai gifting calendar

Three recurring peaks drive most bulk order volume: GITEX Global in early December, UAE National Day on 2 December (overlapping directly with GITEX week), and general year-end/New Year client gifting through late December. Ramadan and Eid gifting is also significant and moves each year on the lunar calendar, so it needs to be planned against the actual date rather than assumed to fall in a fixed month.

Practical sourcing notes

Stock items typically ship within a business week from Dubai-based suppliers; branded/customised runs need 7–14 working days on top of that once artwork is approved. VAT-compliant invoicing (UAE VAT is 5%) is standard and worth confirming upfront if your finance team requires it on the PO, not just the final invoice.
