Corporate Gifting in Doha: A Local Buyer's Guide

Gifts Gulf Team 24 August 2026Β· 5 min read

Doha's corporate-gifting demand is concentrated and fairly predictable once you know the calendar it runs on β€” a smaller, denser market than Dubai's, with its own recurring peaks rather than a direct copy of the wider GCC pattern.

Where demand concentrates

West Bay, Lusail (increasingly a hub for newer corporate HQs), and the Old Airport Area account for most Doha corporate-gifting activity, with Al Wakrah and Al Rayyan covering the wider metro area. A Doha-based order can generally expect same-week fulfilment on stock items given how concentrated the business districts are relative to the city's overall size.

The Doha gifting calendar

Qatar National Day on 18 December is the single biggest fixed date on the calendar, sitting alongside general year-end client gifting. Web Summit Qatar, held in early February at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, is the other major fixed point for businesses doing trade-show gifting specifically. As in the rest of the GCC, Ramadan and Eid gifting is significant and moves each year on the lunar calendar.

Practical sourcing notes

Stock items typically ship within 1–3 business days from Doha-based suppliers; branded/customised runs need 7–14 working days on top of that once artwork is approved. One genuine difference from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman: Qatar has not yet implemented VAT β€” invoicing for a Qatar order doesn't currently carry the VAT-compliance requirements that apply in those markets, though this is under active preparation and worth rechecking if you're planning invoicing processes for the medium term rather than a single order.
